Looks like there’s a big celebration coming up for veterans living in and around Lebanon, OH. It all officially starts this Saturday, but on Friday there’s a special breakfast and entertainment planned as well. According to GunShy’s official press release over in the Sandbox…
“Friday November 9th, 2012 at 8:30AM in the Warren County Career Center (WCCC) in Lebanon Ohio, there will be a special breakfast, movie and graphic arts show held for all Vets that care to sign up and attend.
Vets and active service personnel also ride the train for FREE on Saturday November 10th, 2012. Everyone else can get a special discount for the VAD 2012 event at DealChicken.com
Re-enactors will be at various sites around the show area, Military Vehicles and Weapons displays will also be there, Military Models of several types will be on display in the Museum Conference Center, Veterans Graphic Art will also be on display, and a Canteen will be serving donuts and pizza there too.
The Middletown VA Clinic will be there, helping Vets know about the services and programs they earned by their Military Service, to help them.
The JROTC in Uniform will being doing guard duties at the model displays, helping in other capacities around the show area, and doing a Drill between the 1st and 2nd Train Rides.
The Girl Scouts will be offering patriotic favors helping to welcome the train returning to the Station. They will also be providing baked good treats at the USO Dance in the evening.
The USO Dance will be having food provided by Docs, Porky’s, and The Patriot, and there will also be a Costume Contest, complete with prizes awarded for 1st and 2nd place. It is best to RSVP for admission to the USO Dance, a paper ticket will serve as your receipt, the favor of a $5 Donation is requested. ALL Proceeds from the USO Dance will go to the USO.
